Lipdub-Barakaldo

Here you are! The wonderful, incredible and utterly fascinating lipdub made by the Salesian school of Barakaldo. Thanks to everyone engaged in it, specially to Ariadna Elvira, Andrea Angulo, Joana Zurita, Mirari Fresno, Raquel Espinosa, Iñigo Líbano and Ruben Ayala, who have designed it. Enjoy it!

Let's know our schools!

Amongst the different activities of our project, there is one based on computer presentations in order to show creatively both schools. It's time to see them and to know a bit more about our same viewpoints. Remember that, beyond the differences, there are many, many common things between our two schools!

Thank you very much to the students who have prepared these presentations. Saioa Laderas and Jaione Santurtún did their best!

Lipdub coming soon!

Our lipdub was recorded last week but the final version isn't ready. Maybe the final version will be mixed and shown after Christmas. Attached are three photos taking today during Christmas feast. In the photos you can see the students of COMENIUS, mostly those who are coming to Spain in February.

Merry Christmas!

Today, we've been able to meet some Polish friends through Skype. Despite the connection problems, it's been a wonderful experience to see each other and to share our different traditions and customs regarding the Christmas time. There have been Christmas carols too!

Enclosed is the blackboard of the classroom wherein the Skype video conference has taken place. Zelai, a girl who studies Bachillerato, has painted this nice drawing dedicated to our Polish friends!

Finally, this link will show you the special Basque carol related to the OLENTZERO, the coal man who brings the gifts for the kids...

Maider and Nerea

Nerea and Maider, two students belonging to Bachillerato, share with us their feelings towards the Christmas time!

The exchanges are coming! We remember when the Polish teachers came to our school in September and now there are two months left to meet you. Time is short! We are very excited about this project because we have never travelled abroad. It will be a new experience to live with other family and to stay in a city where there is nobody who speaks spanish.

Although the weather in Poland is colder than in Barakaldo, If we were you, we could take winter clothes and umbrellas because here it's always raining! It hardly ever snows here but there is no need to snow to feel that we are in Christmas time. We are so excited about the Christmas and New Year's Eve dinners because we haven´t met with our family since a few months ago.

In our city, Barakaldo, there aren't Christmas lights but in Bilbao, the city becomes amazing. The streets are illuminated by colorful lights, specially in Blue Klein. and in front of the historic "heart" of Bilbao (named Casco Viejo) there must be a very beautiful and enormous Christmas tree. We love Christmas time as you have seen...

We wish to be able to go to Poland and enjoy with our exchange´s students. Best wishes for you and merry Christmas!

Maider Iparagirre and Nerea Díaz
