Krzysztof Szczypkowski remembers.

When we went to the Basque country in February I didn't think that we would be a family. The time which I spent in the Spanish house was the best time of my life.

All trips were an awesome experience. I think that La Concha Beach was the best place that we went to. The awesome visit and the amazing colour of the sand and water were wonderful. Anyway I think that Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao is really interesting. I've never been in a modern museum and I think that it was a really awesome experience, too! The unusual monuments were a little bit strange but still interesting.

Agnieszka Śniegowska’s memories

It has been a month since the last meeting, but I still remember every day, every trip and every moment. All of us live in memories of this wonderful trip to the Basque Country.

The time which I spend in Baracaldo was such an amazing experience. I met new friends and had a really good time. The cities e.g. San Sebastian, Barakaldo, Bilbao, San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, Gernika and the museums were beautiful too. The first day we started early, because we had to packed clothes and get ready to go to Spain.

Dominika Glinkowska and her stay in Barakaldo

From 19th February to 2nd March students from our school were taking part in school exchange.

We came to Barakaldo, to our Basque friends. Before the visit in Spain all of us were nervous and wondering what kind of people would be our friends. It turned out that they are very sociable, talkative and friendly people.

Ola Spitalniak remembers

I couldn't decide which day I should describe, because every day in Barakaldo was like perfect dream. Finally I chose 24th of February.

This day began at 8 am when we came to school. In groups we were talking about our countries and looking for some information about them for a quiz, which was to take place 2 days later. We also watched a short film about Poland. Then, me and my Polish friends danced 'polonaise' and we taught that to our Spanish friends step by step. It was really funny because in the beginning it was very difficult for them. After Polish dance there was time for Basque dances, which were a lot of fun for everyone.

Wiktoria Solarska shares her memories

All the days spent in the Basque Country were wonderful. The people, the atmosphere and trips were amazing.

In this incredible country we visited San Sebastián, Bilbao, San Juan de Gaztelugatxe and other places, but these were really fantastic. I will never forget these pretty views, which I could see.For me the best of all was a very modern building of Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao. I was surprised because I didn’t think that inside the museum we would hear sounds, feel exotic scent and touch different textures.I was also impressed by the museum in Guernica, the most interesting thing was a story about the war in a very unusual room. It was a really sad story, but this room was so real, for a moment I felt like during the war.

I will always remember it. I'm so happy that I could take part in this exchange and I could get to know such fantastic people.

Marta Jeż’s impressions

The Basque Country in Spain was the new experience. I spent so many pleasant moments there. I enjoyed the day with family most. It was probably the only day when we slept until 9 am. We ate breakfast and we went to Bilbao. The weather was amazing and the sun was shining .

We walked by the river enjoying the museum of modern art. At about 2 o’clock in the afternoon we went to the mall for dinner. We ate a lot ;) After dinner we went to the city center. The family was very nice. They showed me many interesting buildings with joy. We also went to the park. We sat on a bench and watched the children playing.

I talked to Nerea a lot. After a long day we went home to Barakaldo.

Jakub Jędrzejewski's impressions

Just before the departure I did not know if I will go. But despite this fact, I went and I did not regret it.

At the airport in Bilbao I was greeted heartily by new friends. The school in Barakaldo was a big surprise for me. It was large and it had an interactive board in each room, as well as the court and gymnasium.

Each of the tours was great. I learned a lot about the Basque country. I am very happy that I met new people and I while talking to them I can improve my English. While socializing with Spanish friends I had a great time. I think the trip was a success and I look forward to the arrival in June.

Greetings from Ostrów Wielkopolski.

Przemek and his stay in Barakaldo

Our school takes part in the Comenius programme. We were in the Basque Country for several days.

At that time we learned a lot about the local culture and met many wonderful people. Everything what we had done there, we will remember for the rest of our lives.

We lived with the spanish families, which were very helpful, polite for us and we felt like in our homes. We visited many amazing and breathtaking landscapes, buildings and places, for example Bilbao, San Sebastian and San Juan de Gaztelugatxe .

Our trip will be unforgettable for us. The hardest moment for us was the time to get back to Poland. Now we have friends there and we can't wait until we will meet again in june.
