Gernika, Mundaka, San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, Butrón Castle

Today it was the turn of the History, the history of the Basque Country, its traditions, customs and special laws... Visiting both, the Museum of the Peace and the Ancient Assemby House (Ancient Parliament) was clearly focused on this matter.

This visit was necessary not only for the students coming from Ostrów-Wielkopolski, but also for the people from Barakaldo. When our common project was to be written, Gernika was considered one of the most important priorities. We aim to live in peaceful societies, emphasizing the need of using words instead of swords, as the Bible itself says, and one of the most important philosopher in the 20th century, Karl Popper, stated. This reflection has actually been present today!

But we all wished to know and meet, finally, San Juan de Gaztelugatxe. What can we say? Despite the cloudy weather and the rain (at the last stages of the visit), it worths walking for around 6 kilometres until getting the best and spectacular views. We were lucky regarding the weather, because 10 minutes later, right after arriving in Bermeo, it started to rain in such a terrible way, that we got wet. Never mind! We were singing in the rain in this nice fishermen village!

Last but not least: we finished our trip stopping for a while at the Butrón Castle, actually a faily-tale one, but nice to see.
