Kacper Maciejewski writes about the D-DAY lecture

On 25 October, staying in Ostrów Mr. Oscar Gonzales Lopez led three lessons about D-Day-Normandy Battle in 1944. He told that his desire to deepen his knowledge about the war comes from the call to inform people that war is senselessness. It is a kind of appeal for the peace in the world.

He stressed that he did not satisfy himself by only historical facts- more important thing is to touch history. That's why he travelled to places marked by the death of many people, talked with people who lived through these events, and corresponded with them, touched the exhibits.

He documented it all in the form of photographs and books. He was talking in a very interesting way , it was obvious that history is his hobby. We could touch the history, a piece of parachute, which American soldiers were using during D-Day.

The only downside of this meeting was the length, after one hour we felt unsatisfied, we wanted to listen to him even longer.
